In August 2019, the “Gründungen und Innopreneurship der Universität Duisburg-Essen” (GUIDE) center was established as part of the Science Support Center (SSC) to support the establishment of start-ups within the university. The GUIDE REGIO project aims at strengthening and professionalizing the activities carried out by the center within the scope of the region. In particular, the aim is to improve the ability of the center in the identification, qualification, and incubation of innovation potentials.
Within the project, the Networked Embedded Systems group is responsible for the design and development of an Innovation Search Engine (INSE) that supports the GUIDE staff in identifying innovation potentials. The ultimate goal is to make screening and scouting more efficient by automatizing the analysis of complex data and simplifying access to relevant information.
