For the second time, researchers of the networked embedded systems group are participating in the yearly EvAAL (Evaluating AAL Systems through Competitive Benchmarking) competition in Madrid, Spain. For this, the members of the group have developed a significantly improved version of the LOCOSmotion system which introduces a significantly faster calibration procedure, a much higher precision and a better robustness. A technical description of the initial system as well as some analysis on the results of last year’s competition has been published as a book chapter by Ngewi Fet, Marcus Handte, Stephan Wagner and Pedro José Marrón titled "LOCOSmotion: An Acceleration-Assisted Person Tracking System Based on Wireless LAN" in "Evaluating AAL Systems Through Competitive Benchmarking", page 17-31.
