At the beginning of January, the members of the Networked Embedded Systems group have published the mobile app for InnaMoRuhr that they have developed over the last months. The app is freely available for mobile phones running the Android or iOS operating system via Google Play and the Apple App Store, respectively. Using the app, interested persons can support the mobility research done in InnaMoRuhr by donating their mobility diary. To capture the diary, the app automatically monitors the movement of the mobile device running it using its built-in GPS receiver. To minimize the privacy impact of the data collection sharing, the app automatically detects and obfuscates the end points of trips before it shares them with the researchers of the project.
